During the period July-August 2003 young scientists and students of marine sciences from universities in England, Spain and Greece joined the marine research team of Archipelagos. During this time we carried out visual-sensus surveys of the biodiversity of littoral zone ecosystems, studies into the productivity of local fisheries as well as of their socio-economical significance, and a study of the biodiversity of benthic meiofauna of the littoral zone. These studies were carried out in the marine regions off the islands Arki, Fournoi and surrounding islets.
